Lloyd Hall is one of Haverford's corridor-style residences, housing roughly 60–70 students with communal bathrooms on each floor. Named in honor of a significant figure in the college's history, the hall is a standard example of Haverford's historic residential architecture — solid masonry construction, no central AC, and a layout that encourages spontaneous interaction on the hallways and stairwells. Students in Lloyd benefit from the Honor Code's RA-free model, which places responsibility for community norms directly on residents rather than staff. The arboretum grounds surrounding the building provide a scenic backdrop year-round.
