Tinsley Hall is part of the River Dorms complex on Rutgers's College Avenue campus — a cluster of traditional corridor-style residence halls overlooking the Raritan River. Named for Charles Albert Tinsley, an influential gospel composer and minister. Corridor-style doubles with communal bathrooms. The River Dorms are known for their beautiful location above the river and their tight-knit residential community. Tinsley is one of several halls in the complex including Hegeman, Clothier, Campbell, Demarest, Leupp, and Nichols.
